This story is based on a very exciting and not so scary incident that happened to the family at the seashore.
4-year-old Lyra drew a story about it (that’s right, preschoolers can compose graphic novels, too!) Her mum, Tania Medvedeva, who also happened to be a globally published children's author, adored Lyra’s short story and decided to give it a go.
The fearless Anna Lyubimova — an award winning artist from St. Petersburg — took on the task of illustrating this experimental project, inspired by the kid’s creativity, hot sun and endless love.

And on the endpaper of this book, you’ll find Lyra’s original illustrations. They became the starting point of our incredible book journey!

    Idea
Lyra (by the way named after the book character) recently celebrated her fifth birthday. She likes to read, compose stories, play the piano and do gymnastics. She studies English and carries out scientific experiments.
Lyra claims she wants to become a scientist and, in the meantime, she writes and illustrates her first picture books.

BEYOND THE BOOK
This book can become a great self-sufficient title in a portfolio of a publishing house. Moreover, it has an immense potential in terms of creation of a large-scale media project.
1
Series of picture books for kids
Lyra, Ava and their little brother Alex are cute characters that are easy to associate with.
Funny crabs and other minor roles are certainly adding humour to the story.
In the meantime, catchwords typed in bigger fonts will inspire the first reading practice.

2
Textbooks and study guides
Heroes and heroines of fiction stories grow older, face various situations and learn how to deal with them — much like the young readers themselves.
On the pages of the books the characters will tell about nature phenomena, science experiments, traveling and important aspects of life routine.
3
Audiobooks and songs for young learners
It's great when your favourite story gets voiced by a talented actor or actress.
Songs for kids are one more piece of jigsaw forming a book's universe. By the way, one of my songs was voiced by world-renowned jazz singers Anna Buturlina, the official vocalist for Elsa from Disney's "Frozen".

4
Cartoons and videogames
Pretty much every children's author dreams of his or her book being turned into a cartoon (and I'm no exception!).
The books of this series might become a foundation of edutainment platform with a great deal of video-, audio- and text content.
